I started Charting Accounts because I saw too many small business owners either overpaying for services they didn't need or trying to manage their own books and falling behind. There's a better way.

No — if you don't have it yet, I'll walk you through getting set up. QuickBooks Online's Simple Start or Essentials tier is all most small businesses need, and it costs around $35–$65/month directly through Intuit. I'll help you pick the right plan and get everything configured from day one.

That's actually one of the most common situations I work with. Before we start your monthly bookkeeping, we'll do a cleanup to get everything caught up and accurate. Depending on how far back we need to go, there may be a one-time cleanup fee — I'll give you a clear estimate before any work begins.

Yes — the flat monthly rate covers all the services listed: transaction categorization, bank and credit card reconciliation, chart of accounts maintenance, and your monthly P&L and Balance Sheet. There are no hourly add-ons or surprise charges. The only thing not included is your own QuickBooks Online subscription, which you pay directly to Intuit.

I focus exclusively on bookkeeping. I don't prepare tax returns or manage payroll — but that's by design. My job is to make sure your books are accurate, organized, and ready to hand off to your CPA or tax preparer at year-end. Clean books make their job faster and cheaper for you.

Your Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet are delivered by the 20th of the following month. So your January reports will be in your inbox by February 20th. If you ever have questions about a report, just reply — you're talking directly to me.
